Clothing Swap!

Ready… Set… GO! Clean out your closets!!! Spend a couple of minutes a day until the 12th!

Bring your GENTLY used clothing, shoes & accessories to exchange with other friends and students! I ALWAYS get a little something fun for my wardrobe, even Halloween costumes! After the swap, what is left (and it’s usually a LOT) will be donated to Anchored Hope (Detroit Street Outreach), and Grace Centers for Hope.

We all hang on to too many things. They sit in the backs of our closets and drawers and we think well, maybe some day I’ll fit into that again… In yoga, the word Aparigraha (non-attachment) and Saucha (cleanliness) are a couple of the ethical laws we should live by. These can be translated into non-attachmenon-greed and living more simply.

Embracing the philosophy of letting go of material things not only creates space in our lives but also fosters gratitude, promotes sustainability, and reminds us of the power of giving, with a little personal organization on the side! Together, let’s embrace the joy of sharing and make a difference in our community.

You can drop off items any time now before or after classes.

ALSO BEING COLLECTED THIS DAY:
Please donate to Anchored Hope’s food pantry, the next time you’re shopping, shop for Anchored Hope too, just a little something goes a long way if we all pitch in! Individually wrapped items they are collecting:

Salty Snacks
Chewy Granola Bars
Juice Pouches and Water
Applesauce Cups
Sweet Snacks
Jars of Peanut Butter & Jelly

Monthly Women’s Group

🌸 In 2018, I started a wOMen’s Support Group at Evolve Yoga and it was really special – I was so grateful to have so many beautiful, strong and passionate women come together to share their stories and contribute to the themes we offered.

We’re simply creating a nurturing space for women to connect, support each other, and realize that you’re never alone in whatever you’re facing. If you’ve been to these before, you know they can be incredibly supportive!

Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just curious about what we do, everyone is welcome! Feel free to bring along a light appetizer and a drink (vegan/vegetarian) if you’d like (completely optional so don’t worry about that either).

No RSVP required — just set aside any doubts and join us! This is NOT a yoga class and you don’t have to have ever even practiced yoga.

I am happy to announce the next Women’s Group is November 6 with guest leader Michelle McCormick.

7-8:30pm.

Please come exactly as you are!
