Sedona Yoga, Meditation & Hiking Retreat

March 3-8, 2022

Join Cinda Lark, E-RYT 500 & 800 on this exciting retreat! I truly believe this is the perfect time to go inside and take a deeper look at ourselves to see where we can heal some of the personal as well as collective trauma we have been through the last couple of years. The healing power of Sedona awaits us, and it is time to heal! We will practice yoga, meditation, hiking, and much more while surrounded by the natural beauty of the Sedona red rock formations and the famous healing energy vortexes.

At these magical sites, trees often exhibit this swirling or twisting of their trunks due the powerful vortex energy at the core of a Sedona Vortex.

Sedona.net states, “You may feel a range of sensations from a slight tingling on exposed skin, to a vibration emanating from the ground when you encounter a vortex. Most often a vortex is felt by palpable sensation across the nape of the neck and the shoulder blades.”

Are you ready?

Draw on Sedona’s powerful spiritual vortex energy and get in touch with nature and your higher self at this rejuvenating yoga, meditation and hiking retreat! With Sedona as our stunning backdrop and play area we will be surrounded by world-famous healing red rocks and powerful energy vortexes.

Known for the uplifting power of its vortex meditation sites, Sedona is the perfect place to retreat, go inside, and connect more deeply with your true self, with nature and with the universe. Vortexes are areas of swirling energy that arise from the earth’s natural electromagnetic power, where the earth appears especially alive with energy. This can be powerful for meditation, contemplation and healing.

There will be two Yoga class most days, in the morning we will move through modifiable slow flows with options for more vigorous flows. I have some special classes lined up to incorporate partner yoga for those who are interested, and learning more about arm balancing and inversions as well. Also plenty of time for breaking down asanas for those who are interested in learning more. Plenty of fun sequences and transitions to practice! Also morning sessions will include pranayama (breath control) and learning more about how to use these techniques throughout your day. The evening classes will be more yin in nature, gentle and restorative with a meditative relaxation and nidra at the end.

A mala bracelet making workshop is also included, please request stones / colors before February 20 and I will do my best to accommodate.

Namaste, Cinda <3

Cinda Lark, E-RYT200, RYT500 LOAY 800 (Life Of A Yogi) Dharma Yoga
Cinda’s passion for yoga began when she took her first class. She felt immediately at home with the physical practice of Vinyasa Yoga, having been a gymnast, dancer and diver. She soon realized there was so much more, a mindful and spiritual side that came as a pleasant surprise and affected her life in a truly positive way almost immediately. This practice not only became a vital part of her soul but her desire to share what she was learning inspired her to enter a local teacher training with Andrea von Behren where she received her 200 hour training. She opened Evolve Yoga (formerly Breathe) in 2011 and began a career with her passion for yoga as well as sharing. Craving to know more about this ancient philosophy, and knowing somehow that the guru Sri Dharma Mittra in New York City was the actual key, she went off to take her 500 hour training in 2015 and her 800 hour in 2017. Finding her guru showed her the deep connection to both hatha and raja yoga that she had been searching for, answered endless questions about life and the ways of the universe and she found her sanctuary there.

Although Cinda teaches a variety of yoga at Evolve Yoga so that everyone can find a practice that serves them, Dharma Yoga is woven throughout each and every class. From the grace and fluidity of Vinyasa and Slowflow yoga, the alignment and foundational Hatha and Gentle Hatha to Yin, playful partner yoga, SUP Yoga, and her favorite, Dharma Yoga, there is something just for you. There are numerous special workshops available throughout the year. Cinda’s teaching is playful, challenging & amazingly supportive. She will tell you, yoga is foundational for our lives. It helps us to find peace and calm in a very tumultuous world where it’s all too easy to become overwhelmed.

Cinda owns Evolve Yoga in Keego Harbor where you can find these offerings as well as a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance registered teacher training program she feels is one of the most thorough trainings you could find. She is also a degreed Graphic Designer and Photographer. She practices Reike and Psychic Development privately. She is a mother to two teenagers and is grateful everyday for her gifts. Cinda opened Evolve Juice & Smoothie Bar a few doors down from her studio in February of 2020. Evolve Juice is the perfect compliment to the yoga she teaches and offers organic, vegan, cold-pressed juice, smoothies and smoothie bowls, toasts, and many other eats and treats.

“Practice every day, even just a pose or two and some pranayama. Do kind things for one another, see yourself in others and their struggles. You will live freer and with more happiness!” –CL
